His calls have ranged from a small church in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky: Old Point Lick Presbyterian Church, to a County Seat church in Missouri: First Presbyterian Church of Butler, Missouri, and then to our church: First Presbyterian Church of Lee’s Summit.  He has also served as part-time regional staff at the Presbytery level.

Ron graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BBA with a double major in Economics and Marketing. He received his Masters of Divinity from the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Divinity from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary.

Ron is also very involved in our community and encourages First Presbyterian members to also be involved. He serves on many non-profit boards. Among these are the Board of Directors of Lee’s Summit Social Services where he is past president. He serves on the HUD low Income Housing Project Board of Directors for John Calvin Manor and serves as treasurer. He is also on the Board of Directors and vice-president of the Lee’s Summit Ministerial Alliance. He is serving on a on a visionary task force on the long-term social service needs for Lee’s Summit.

He is happily married to his wife Sandy. They have two children, Brady and Terri who is married to Jason. The great joys of his life are Bailie and Alexis his two granddaughters.
